Wordless Wednesday: Golden October
Hiking arround Hopfensee
I love my new camera so much I did not get to sketch that day. That doesn’t mean I know how to use it yet. It allows for a lot more manual adjustment than my old one. On the down side, the automatic programs are rather crappy so I have no joice but mastering the darn thing.
This Flower Made my Day
Cannot even say why, but seeing this yucca flower in a roadside ornamental planting made my day. Did you know they grow for years, the bloom once in such splendour then die? Of course, there are always young ones who remain.
Whimsical Photographs
New TAST II Stitches
This is the next part of my TAST II sampler. It shows buttonholed herringbone and lots of sorbello stitch. Of course, a lot of knot stitches and a chain stitch variant sneaked in.
Yesterday, we had a wild sky. These are neither photoshopped nor done with the sunset program of the camera.
General “Life is Good” Posting
Sorry the chaotic timeline, the pics here are from the last two weeks. I just HAD to post about Dennis Hopper first. Life is good these days, even when it’s not exactly wild.
About fiber content: I’m knitting like mad, and stitching a little. But this is all slow work, and seeing scarves grow in 10 cm steps and embroidery in square centimeters would only bore you. Charting knitting or crochet is also tendious and time consuming. You will eventually see such content again.
Sketch of a peony that will soon open, done during a short break while inline skating.
Another sketch from another inline skating afternoon. I did this one standing under a bridge by the river, without taking my hand gear off, so it’s kinda simple.
A pond in the woods.
Wee little swans in the park, I see them often on my way home. There are eight of them this year.
Father hugo’s rose, one of my favourite once flowering roses. Unfortunately, they don’t quite like the climate of mx hometown, so this one is no impressive shrub I could showcase whole.
Springtime Melancholy
Finally, the snow has gone and the flowers start to bloom. The world is like new, and so beautiful. Going back in my blog, there are pictures of the very same flowers that excite me so now. And I try to make time for working on an ufo I started last march. Where has the time gone? where will this year’s time go?
I Am Back
Sorry, know I had you waiting for too longl. I had health issues that kept me from doing too much creative stuff, and spending much time in front of a computer. Don’t ‘worry, nothing serious, just annoying. I’m much better now.
Well, I have been stitching a little, nothing really great, but I may show some of this over the nest few days. I’m working on old stuff that would either be boring, or ruin the joy when I show all my baby steps, so bear with me if it takes time until posting becomes more frequent again.
I am planing to take part in Sharon Bogons new challenge when it starts, but in an unambitious way.
Here are some pics of a winter sundown taken on a walk some time ago. Just can’t resist showing them.
Sketchcrawl, we did it!
So me and two other sketchers met and had a good time. It was the first really warm weekend of the year, so we sketched in a little park, the Hofgarten. After that we went to a little courtyard and continued there but what I did there was too pathetic to show. I so need more practice! We finished the day at a very good tai restaurant. We didn’t get much done because we all had to leave early, but it was a fun day and we hope to repeat that soon.
I know 15th of April will be soon, I should get going on the assisi challenge. I already bought thread if that counts a little bit lol.

I also couldn’t keep my beloved camera in the pocket on this day, but more on that on other occasions. Here are some photographs I took today in the garden, and with those I wish you a happy spring festival, no matter if you call it easter or something else. Celebrate Life!
