arts and crafts market find

Last weekend, I visited a small local arts and crafts market. Of course I couldn’t resist buying something, this time it was this lovely handspun wool made from merino and alpaca in earth colours. It is too thick for knitting for my taste, but I think it will be OK for couching.

I was so thrilled by my find that I started a project at once instead of just stashing it. as if I don’t already have too many UFOs…. The fabric is a cheap deco fabric from my stash, it is very shiny and has irregular plisse folds. I’m curious if and when I’ll get anywhere with this piece.

Hi Tenar. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I was wondering, would you like to exchange links?

Thank you Lee! I am still working on this, but very slowly, because I’m really busy with life at the moment and don’t want to miss all the tast stitches. I will show it when I’ve done some more.
